FOUR AND A HALF BILLION. photographs by: Aidas RygelisTHE EARTH IS ESTIMATED TO BE 4.5 BILLION YEARS OLD. GEOLOGICAL INTERVALS OF TIME ARE TOO LONG TO BE COMPREHENSIBLE TO MINDS THINKING IN TERMS OF WEEKS, DAYS, AND YEARS. THIS SERIES OF IMAGES LOOKS AT ACCUMULATIONS AND SELF ORGANIZED MATTER AS EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE OF RESTORATIVE CYCLES. BY EXAMINING BOTH NATURAL AND FABRICATED TIME CYCLES, ONE BEGINS TO BETTER GRASP THE AMOUNT OF TIME REPRESENTED BY THE AGE OF THE EARTH
